Stop measuring yourself with their broken ruler

The diet industry has convinced us that suffering equals success.
Remember "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"? They want us obsessing over every single ounce gained or lost, chasing unrealistic expectations about our bodies, our willpower, our habits. (Because perfection is totally a thing that exists in real life, right?)
I spent years measuring myself against their standardsâand guess what? I always came up short.
Every time I "failed" at a diet, I thought it was MY fault. Every time the scale didn't cooperate, I thought I wasn't trying hard enough. I kept buying the next program, the next shake, the next "solution" to all the problems I thought I had.
It took me way too long to realize: the ruler was designed to make me fail. That's how they keep us coming back.
The $70 billion weight-loss machine stays in business by keeping us distractedâchasing the next great "thing," usually announced with a lot of fanfare and even more empty promises.
You don't have to measure yourself by their standards anymore.
What if you threw out their broken ruler and started paying attention to what actually works for YOUR body? Not what works in their studies. Not what worked for your neighbor. What works for you.
What if you started celebrating the moments you've been brushing aside as "no big deal"âlike having more energy, sleeping better, or just feeling more at peace with food?
